Sawthooths In the Spring

Took the long way home from Dawson’s last weekend. Stanley to Galena down to Sun Valley and back through Mountain Home. The Sawtooths are stunning in the spring. Here’s a pic!flat creek-web.jpg

Last Chance

A big thanks to Dave and his staff at Dawson Taylor. This showing of my work has been the most successful ever. Only a couple of more days left to see it. Stop by and take a look. Again thanks to all who came by. I'll keep you posted on what else is happening.dawson commish-web.jpg

Photo Shoot

This is a time lapse of a professional photo session on director Martin Scorsese. You geeks might want to "pause" a couple of times and look at the work envolved, amazing. Wish I had all this equipment.

My mom use to say. " if you don't like the weather around here-wait 15 minutes." So true of late.raindrops11x web.jpg

1st Thursday-Dawson Taylor

The Work of David R. Day (boisee boy) will be on display at Dawson Taylor Coffee house at 219 8th Street in downtown Boise. For the month of March. Please stop by 1st Thursday and join David for a cup of great Dawson Taylor coffee. 6:30-9:00.

I have developed a new way of displaying my work. Using state of the art Giclée technology, this new series of images are printed on canvas and then hand stretched over a wooden frame. This gives the art an uniquely distinctive presentation.

The power of the moment makes the image. By blending light, texture and color, David brings a life to everyday objects. His camera can take a simple sign, or a martini glass and find art. With people, it is capturing that moment of humanity. The instant in time that reveals a person; laughter, tears, or a sly reviling smile.

Don't need much more!

Can you see Elvis?

The glass is?

The optimist see the drink as half full. The pessimist see it as half empty. The realist sees the glass as twice as big as it needs to be. martitweak1web.jpg The bartender thinks it is time for another round.

Can't miss this one

This photo could have been an example of “I almost took a beautiful photo yesterday”depot snow web.jpg The Depot was shining as I headed down Federal Way to go into town. Since I was in a rush I almost didn't stop. In fact instead of swinging in to the Catholics parking lot, I rolled down the hill. Fortunately a look back at the clouds combined with the snow made me turn around and go back and take this pic. Glad I did.
