The Metal Series at Hyde Park-

The Gallery at Hyde Park will be presenting my “Metal Series” the months of February and March. As a photographer I have always been fascinated with pushing the limits of presenting work.

The Metal Series comes from the simple idea. “Wonder if I can print on Metal?”

It took months and a lot of weird chemicals, sand papers, and determination but the answer is yes.

Might have to try this one on copper!

And here is a version in an older more manipulated style. Whatta think, got a preference?

A contender for  next years calendar?

Looks like a picture from a plane. However it was just a few miles up Bogus Basin road on Wednesday.

Northern Nevada

jackpot-9489This old Hot Springs building is between Jackpot and Wells. Been meaning to take a look for years. Was hoping for a sunrise that didn't come. Found some interesting angles anyway. Hope you enjoy. jackpot-9492

Photo Friday-B! and the Blue Diamonds

Been lucky enough to take photos of Lori B! for a while now. This photo was the last of the lastest session, with her new band the Blue Diamonds. The style idea came from Richard Soliz. I love the way it captures the individuality and the cohesiveness of the band. Rock on Ms. B!

2009 Boise calendar

The 2009 Boise calendar is DONE, picked it up from Northwest printing today.

It  is my look at Boise. From a rusting truck, trying to blend with the fall leaves on Warm Springs Ave to a stunning view of a storm moving in to downtown at dusk. Thirteen months of the beauty of home.

If you would like to see the images framed, they are on display at Dawson Taylor downtown.

Boisee.com readers will recognized most of the images. It is the best calendar ever.

Want one? Boisee.com readers get a discount. Retail $15.00. The blog price is $12.00. For $15.00 I will ship. Buy three or more $10.00 bucks a piece. Makes a great gift!!!
