Since 1947! The Fanci Freez is a blast back to the golden age of fast food. Hand made food. With a look to history the owners have updated and upgraded this old town favorite. The new Freez still excludes 50’s charm and captures that place in time. A time when the car was king and summer evenings were spent eating hot dogs and sundaes. Was just stopping to snap a couple of pics of the beautifully remodeled store but after watching the smiling faces it was no time till I was inside. As the young man behind the counter added even more real ice cream to my shake I began to smile too. My caramel shake was so thick it was work to drink. However I was up to the job and accomplished my task with pleasure.

Advise

If you are male . . . Never order a Lemon Drop cocktail. When you lick the rim, the bar staff will laugh at you.

Bill Rizzo

rizzo-web.jpgAre you lucky enough to know Bill Rizzo? Hope so, Bill is one of those “stand up” guys. Even if you don’t know Wiliiam, he will be more than happy to help you. Rizzo’s always first to pitch in and help. The kind of man that brings his truck to move you, and picks up the heavy end of couch. Now it is our turn to help one of the good ones. See, Bill suffered a heart attack last month. He’s fine and getting use to living without pork rinds. However, the doctors inserted a stint, and kept Bill in Intensive Care for a couple of days. You can imagine the bills.

The FOB’s(Friends of Bill) are going to put on a benefit at the Rose Room, Friday, May 12th. Please mark your calendars. Expect a crowd and a great time. Jo will bring the bar, we will have music, a silent action, and all the money will help Bill. This one is important so I’ll be giving you all many reminders. Just make sure you plan on attending. If we don’t take care of our own, who will.

So, my blog hassles were not this bad! Or this funny. . .This is an item listed on BLOG MEDIA Oops! Google accidentally deletes its blog March 28, 2006 12:19 PM PST Google has admitted that it accidentally deleted its own official blog on Monday night. "We've determined the cause of tonight's outage. The blog was mistakenly deleted by us (d'oh!) which allowed the blog address to be temporarily claimed by another user. This was not a hack, and nobody guessed our password. Our bad," Jason Goldman, Blogger Product Manager, wrote in a posting on the Google Blog. Apparently, the Google Blog was unavailable for a short time on Monday.

No! At $1.00 a pint, water is $8.00 a galloon. Gas is cheap at 1/2 the price, even if you buy it in Kona, Hawaii. Thanks for the pic Kona boi.

Who let the Poodles Out

Is it just me? Why are people bringing their dogs into stores? Even restaurants. Don’t mind running with the big dogs, but I don’t want to eat or drink with ‘em.As long as I am ranting, what is up with Poodles? Bet they look in the mirror and hate their owners for the hair do.

Jon Knox

It is often said the one person can not make much of a difference. Whowever said that has not met BBS member Jon Knox. His gentle but presistent nudging has created a hugely successful Blues Jam at the Reef. Every other week he blends egos and instrurments into beautiful music. Boise and the Blues Society are lucky to have Jon round.
