The media is always predicting the worst!Just last week, many of the well informed "pundits" predicted a " huge" rise in gas prices due to the break in the Alaskan pipeline. What happened? Filled my tank today, no the price did not rise 10 cents per. It was down a cent!
Rock 'N Soul
Gettem’ up- move ‘em out.Blues Brothers Rock ‘N Soul Revue will be appearing at this week’s (Aug 17) Great Garden Escape at the Idaho Botanical Garden, 6-9 pm.
Underscore-Scored
Here is a review of the kids Blues/rock band Underscore from "Band Dad" Bart. . . The kids did well last Saturday[Caldwell Blues in the Park] and were called back for 2 encores. Unfortunately they were only prepared for one encore so they replayed "The Jack" by AC/DC by request from their original set. All in all the gig was a hit and they are now preparing for their 1 Hour long 17 song set for the Idaho State Fair next Monday night (August 21) at 7 PM at the Midway Stage.

The "Scenic Idaho" graphics on the side of the big U-Haul trucks is bold and beautiful. It makes the state look good.
To bad U-Haul didn't pick our Idaho State quarter design! Thanks Dirk.
Idaho Radio Update
Thanks to the site IdahoRadioNews we can get some prespective on a couple of the local radio stories Boisee.com looked at this spring. Clear Channels firing of Big Jack may not look so good today. The new My Country KTMY ranked #20. Well behind KZIN- #5 and KQFC-#8. However Big Jack’snew home KDJQ didn’t even make the top 20.
In other radio news the loss of Jon Duane & Chis Kelly’s morning show may not have hurt KIDO. It ranked 4th and is the most listened to AM.
