Been wondering if I need to keep posting on Boisee.com. Seems like most of my commenters, and likely readers have gone to Facebook. Don't mind doing both, if anyone out there is reading this thing. Just thinking out loud. Maybe I should turn this into a more photo oriented site.
Photo Friday-Winters coming

Boise 2010 Calendar
This years Boise Calendar is headed to the printers. Take a couple of weeks till I get them back. This is by far the very best calendar yet. I was lucky enough to team up with historian Todd Shallat from the Department of History and Politics at Boise State. He has provided a bit of Boise history to each months photo. The images are as varied as usual, everything from a wet sidewalk to a surreal veiw of the Ann Morrison fountain at sunset. Haven't got all the details worked out on distribution, but I will have them at the market the last two weeks in October for sure and can mail them.
CAN'T WAIT.
Need to give a special thanks to my kids Don and Elissa, thier help was invalualble in picking which images to use and the overll design.
Blues Reunion at The Sunshine
Hard to believe it has been over ten years, since Dan played taps and we locked the doors to 1010 Main, in the heart of downtown Boise. The closing of the Blues Bouquet was one sad event. Amazingly, the family has stayed together. When Ms. Jo took over the Sunshine lounge on Curtis we knew it was time for a reunion. The Hoochie Coochie men were the only band for us. So on Saturday the 26th, we are gathering to celebrate the old and the new. If you ever had or served a drink at the Blues Bouquet you are welcome. If you have always wondered what all the fuss was, your welcome. You don't need an excuse, just come on by. Jo's Sunshine is located were Curtis meets the connector, by St. Al's.
BTW the return of Boise's most famous blue drink. So famous, they even named a album after it, The Bucket of Blues also returns Saturday. Come enjoy the fun.
Not so Lucky, Mr.
Guess you can't sell a bar on Craig's List. After several attempts to sell Dave's luck has run out. Boisee.com has heard that Russ Martin's the successful Wednesday Jam, may see some Sunshine!!!

Monday Morning View
Photo Friday-Hoff
Just about have the calendar images picked, This one made the cut.
Monica plays the Sunshine.
Monica rubs the spoons at Jo's new Sunshine Lounge. Captured this with the iphone. Had a great night of frivolity and music. Who says no one will come out on a Monday? The cool, hip, appreciative crowd had a very good time, and were home in time to get up easy for work. Thanks to Jo and the Boise Blues Society.
Locals stick it to Starbucks.
The Starbucks on the corner of Capitol and Idaho is CLOSED. Congrats to Dawsons, Java and all the other local coffee houses that stood thier ground and held on to victory. BTW I am writing this from Dawsons.
Photo Friday-I Wonder
