The work of John Collias is currently on display ar Dawson Taylor, downtown Boise. If you are old enough, you may remember John’s work in The Idaho Statesman. For years he sketched one of Idaho’s distinguished citizens for the Sunday paper. This exhibit is a tribute to John’s diverse talent. on the walls are everything form rough sketches to fully produced posters. You will find everything from a finalist for the new american quarter to a bold ad for a 70’s Marching band competition.
Over the last few months I have been lucky enough to catch a couple of cups of coffee with John. He is as gracious as talented. Take the time to stop in and see this body of art. You will not be disappointed.
Can you spot my grandfather? I'll give you a hint. Look at the smile.
