Boisee.com friend, Buddha John sent along some info about classic barguides. Here is a cover and a recipe from one "Barflies and Cocktails" by Harry McElhone, which first appeared in 1927. It has been reprinted by MudPudle press. Burnt Fuselage Makes 1 drink

Adapted from "Barflies & Cocktails," by Harry McElhone. "Your own fuselage will be warm, to say the least," writes McElhone. 1 ounce Cognac 1 ounce dry vermouth 1 ounce Grand Marnier Instructions: Stir well with ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass.
