Spent the morning with the crew from the BLM. They call it a "gather," using a helicopter that Heather Tiel-Nelson from BLM said was flown like "broader collie with rotors." These magnificent animals are corralled and removed to thin the herd. It was thrilling to see the horses move through the high desert. As I was leaving one big stallion was headed east as he had again eluded capture.
