Photo Friday-Lights and Arrow
Been posting mostly "normal" pics lately. So how about this one!
Winters Delightful-Boise
How about this cool old ad!
Overheard Wisdom-Success
There are two rules to success. 1)Don't tell all you know.
1/2 off the Statesman
A very nice gentleman ask me if I wanted the Idaho Daily Statesman half off. . .
Told him if they cut in half again it will disappear.
While I am bashing the daily, does a full page ad still cost as much now that the paper the size of a half page?
Sometimes I wish I was still selling radio!
The Vibe-Glad you felt it!
The 1st Vibe on Vista was a great success. Thanks to everyone who came by. It was fun to get the old Art for Art folks back together. It was very cool to have a few more join us. Good traffic from the neighborhood, fantastic music from Spoondragon. It was a great start. Did you miss it? We will be at the corner of Cassia Vista the third Friday of ever month all summer.
The Vibe-Can you feel it?
It is almost time for the 1st Vibe at Vista Village.
Where? Well, Vista Village. Just up from downtown on Vista!
When? This Friday the 15th, and ever third Friday all summer.
Who? Over 25 local artists, crafters, musicians, cooks and all around good folks.
What? Selling the very best in local goodies?
Why? Mostly because it's fun! And to support local artists etc. Oh, and 5% of the profits go to Art Faire a local charity that helps kids be creative.
Boisee, needs to thank Vista Village (thanks Sis & Bro), and MELISSA NODZO!!!

Downtown update
Been a lot of activity in the bar/restaurant biz lately. Seems like a quick update is in line, in no particular order. *Angells is open after the remodel, will try to get in and have an update soon.
*Texas Boogie is open, with bizarrely insulting staff shirts.
*Bad Irish is open, with only one keg of nickel beer.
*HiJinx is open, but I haven't heard anything good or bad.
*There is considerable play on the old Milky Way. An informed source speaks of at least two letters of intent on the 10th street space.
*Craigslist has a liquor license for $110,000.00. I believe this may be the same LL that was listed for $180,000. before the 1st of the year.
*Dave is still trying to sell Mr. Lucky's
Swine Flu in check-Thong Flu Next?
Now that the Media driven Swine Flu "Pandemic" crisis is fading, Boisee is wishing for a Thong Flu outbreak.

Art 4 Art- Redux
We had so much fun over the holidays we decided to go outside and play. Will be at it every third Friday this summer. If it works, we will move indoors when the weather cools off.
Interested in Joining Art4Art. Send me a message or an e-mail. We have a very few spots left.
A special thanks to Melissa of Zu Cru for the poster design.
Capturing Light @ the Elks
So proud to be a part of this. Great cause. Come by and see. I have been busy over the winter and spring. A lot of new work on both metal and canvas.
True Friends send you Vodka(or Scotch)
This one showed up care of Debra Henning.
No, it's not April Fools day
Bacon Part of New Hot Drink in the City
msnbc.msn.com — People have submerged cooked strips of bacon in Vodka for hours to create the “Bacontini,” but Chesty says that bourbon is “better because it picks up the charcoal smokiness flavor.”
Angells-NO THEY ARE NOT CLOSING
Despite the covered sign in the front yard(thanks Garzone), Angell's is not closing. Staff and a sign on the front door both indicate the classic Boise bar (once voted Boise's Best Pick Up bar) will be back open shortly. At first for dinner, and for the whole day soon after. Expect a new menu to go with the classy new look.
So why hide your sign???
This Just in-Robots in the Ring-Update
Wanted to say a little more about Heidi and Robots in the Ring. As a friend I have watch Ms. Kraay work hard at being a "creative"-she has designed sets, wrangled actors and move across the country to keep at it. I haven't seen this play, but I am sure it will be entertaining. Congratulstions!
Good friend Heidi Kraay has created a play. . . Here are TWO opportunities to see it. One is even both are free.
This just in! We will be having an open dress rehearsal for Robots in the Ring on Thursday, April 23 at 8 PM. This exciting, pre-performance sneak-peak show will be held at the El Korah Shriner Center and is especially intended for those of you who will have to miss our late-night Saturday show during this weekend's fantastic Boise Creative and Improvisational Music Festival.
ROBOTS IN THE RING by Heidi Kraay, music by Jared Hallock Open Dress Rehearsal Thursday, April 23 @ 8PM El Korah Shriner Center Free!
However, I would encourage everyone who is available Friday and Saturday to attend any and all of B-CIMF, featuring amazing music by local and international talent, extraordinary visual art (created before your very eyes!) and out-of-this-world new experimental film. All capped off by the premier of ROBOTS, with powerful music composed by Jared Hallock and performed by many B-CIMF musicians, breathtaking choreography by Johanna Kirk and awesome dramatic performances from our exceptional cast of actors and musicians alike. Don't miss out!
Robots in the Ring Saturday, April 25 @ 11PM El Korah Shriner Center 1118 West Idaho Street, 83702 Free!
As technology gets more intelligent by the day, the relationship between humanity and tools is changing rapidly. An intricate series of paid fights has successfully kept the smart devices under control for years, but humans can only keep revolution at bay for so long. Especially when the fights have only been empowering the chosen machine leader...
See improvised music and dramatic art come together to create a robot revolution.
