Big Jack Back?-Update

Update from Idahoradionews "Big Jack" May 23rd, 2006 10:28 10 …as for the comment I made about signing papers with Citadel, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY STATIONS AT 15TH AND BANNOCK!!! So stop the rumor mill now. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!Nothing to do with Magic (which by the way is sounding great) Nothing to do with Eagle and Bob and Tom (which I listen to as a listener now … love em) This has to do with another Citadel market.

Frim Fram Forever?

Was lucky enough to catch Jonah Shue twice last week at two different weddings I was bartending. Jonah did a wonderful job solo, and again with the Frim Fram Four. His raspy soul tinged voice was a mellow complement to the proceedings of love. With the departure of smooth Tom Moore what is going to happen to the Frim Fram Fellows? Tom is headed to law school to learn to perform in front of a jury. That leaves the Frim Fram Four, well Three!. The good news is that Jonah will step into the guitar roll. Unfortunately that means less fiddle, but it’s good to know the that Frim Fram will go on. Jonah told us that they will most likely add a forth player if only to keep the name intact.

Enjoy the FFF at Pengilliys Thursday, the Milky Way Tuesdays or a wedding near you.

Blues Radio Ken Harris Style!

I am hearing rumors of the return of “The Blues Highway” on the Am dial. Ken Harris is working to revive this old classic blues show. Wonder if the new world of radio can take it. May be a revolution.

1898

gowenbuilding-web.jpg Spent some time last week on an assignment in Nampa last week. Bet you have driven past this building many times. Ever notice that it was built in 1898? Wonderful, now is a restaurant, they have wisely left the cool old “Blacksmith” sign up.

ABC Family-Rebecca Scott

Score one for the local team!Rebecca Scott was playing at Sacthels for 1st Thursday. As I was listening to her always amazing music, Deb Sager told the crowd of a song that was used on a ABC TV show. It took a little digging, but here is an entry from CD Baby web site. . .

Track #3, "Timing Is Everything" was used for the soundtrack on the ABC Family Show, "Beautiful People" that originally aired on April 17, 2006.

The song "Family Way" was instrumental in naming The Rebecca Scott Decision as one of the top six unsigned bands in the nation in 1999 by Billboard Music Group.
