Rehung?

After the debacle that the big blue Hanger(now Mac & Charlies) turned into you might think that the Carl would have nothing to do with the bar biz downtown ever again. Nope, a well placed source tell Boisee.com that the Mr. P will be back in the old Mode/Northface building soon. May even take over the Tacabi space in addition to a bar upstairs.

Coffee Kindness

Went to pay for my coffee this morning and they barrista told me that "a customer is buying your coffee this morning." Thanks random guy! How cool, it was a drive by act of kindness. Here is wishing you coffee karma!

Photo Friday-B! and the Blue Diamonds

Been lucky enough to take photos of Lori B! for a while now. This photo was the last of the lastest session, with her new band the Blue Diamonds. The style idea came from Richard Soliz. I love the way it captures the individuality and the cohesiveness of the band. Rock on Ms. B!

If you would like to see the images framed, they are on display at Dawson Taylor downtown.

Boisee.com readers will recognized most of the images. It is the best calendar ever.

Just Checking in

Hi All!  I should give you an update. . .

1st off, you may have noticed fewer stories here on ‘ol Boisee.com. I almost gave it up completely. The bar and restaurant biz hasn’t been to much fun of late. Don’t want to write about this bar closing and that bar no longer having live music!!!

The music scene is quiet also.

Mostly, like a lot of us, I just haven’t been out and about as much so I am not hearing as much gosip.

On the AmericanPhotoSource side, there have been lot’s of changes. Parking and rent costs finally forced me out of downtown. The studio has moved to back of 1002 Vista. I have enough room to really cook up some good stuff.

The 2009 Boise Calendar is at the printer. Should be for sale as soon as next week.

The best part of the move is Art 4 Art. Vista Village is graciously providing the front portion of 1002 Vista for a group of Boise’s very best artists (and me) to have a Holiday show and sale. This really is the cream of the crop. Art 4 Art will feature paintings, pottery, jewelry, house wares and and much more. All in a contemporary gallery setting. It is so exciting. We are donating 5% of our gross sales to Art Faire.  How cool is it that we can help support the future artists of Boise. See the poster for more of the deats.

That’s about it. Look here for more info on Art for Art, AmericanPhotoSource and all the rest.
