Tried to buy this post card. Any ideas where it was taken? I'm stumped. Maybe 8th street, looks like the old Hotel Boise sign way in the back.

What happened?

In response to Richard.Richard-The simple answer is that spam overwhelmed the site. The good son reinstalled the software, increased the protection and it shouod be OK.

Did ya miss me?

Or does 7 days without Boisee.com make one weak? Been locked out of the blog for a while. Have it back now. So it's back to as close to normal as it ever gets.

Polaroid Film-Almost dead

This is about as off topic for Boisee.com as you can get. However, I find it soo sad that the Polaroid company will quit making film as of December 31st. One of my favorite cameras was my moms old SX70. Something about the way the picture POPed out of the front. Standing there shaking the image as it slowly developed. So what if it was a tiny, faded image. It was right there!

City grill?-Update

The big hole swallows a restaurant. The disaster that is the Boise Tower has claimed another very unfortunate victim! The City Grill. A letter from owners Mitch and Christine, explains that although biz was off a bit, it was still pretty good and the holiday parties were booked solid. The real reason for the closure was the bankruptcy of the former landlord, and the subsequent inflexibility of the new owner. Without a solid lease and a rapidly degrading building in need of Lot's of improvements, something had to give. Sadly it was City Grill. Expect a big chain soon, however we have heard that Ruth's Chirs wisely passed and went to the Royal as Boisee.com indicated a long while back.

C G was one of my favorites and will be missed. Don't think Boisee.com is the only one that hates it when local businesses are kicked to the curb for some outside deal.

The good news! Pair is going strong and will honor ALL City Grill gift certificates.
