Had so much fun with the 8th street pics, let's try it again.
Where is this? I think I know, but I have to drive by and check. You?

"It's time to leave when the white guys start to dance."
You never lived untill you have seen middle aged aged women LINE dancing to a well played version of Prince's P^$$y Control. Especially if it is at Foresters in McCall on a cold Saturday night.
Thanks Miss Liss for the adventure.
Took this last night at Telford and Sons. My wonderful niece Jessie was giving a recital.
Might have to try this one on copper!
And here is a version in an older more manipulated style. Whatta think, got a preference?
If you get a text message from the Bank of The Cascades asking you to call a 866 number. it is a SCAM. Go to ktvb.com for more info.
A contender for next years calendar?
Looks like a picture from a plane. However it was just a few miles up Bogus Basin road on Wednesday.

Hi Artist, due to the success of our Holiday market, we are going to continue Art 4 Art as a permanent co-operative dedicated to high quality local art. We are located in at 1002 Vista in the Vista Village shopping center in Boise. As a group we are working to provide a space to show good work, support the art community, make some money and have some fun along the way. We are looking for professionals who will contribute a financial and time commitment to their art and the store. All work will be juried by existing Art 4 Art artists.
Can't seem to confirm the rumor the Mike Fitzgerald has sold the Tablerock Brewery to The Nelson Brothers of construction fame. They did the remodel so there is a connection and their have been a lot of bar stool speculation about the restaurants fate of late.

For those of you who know and those of you who don't, The QUARTERTONS were selected this year by the Boise Blues Society (www.boiseblues.org) to represent Boise and all of Idaho at the International Blues Competition. (www.blues.org/ibc) This is the biggest blues competition in the world and it is held each year in Memphis TN. We will be leaving Feb 3rd to represent all of you!!
It cost a bit of $ to get a band down to Memphis so we along with the BBS are holding a Fundraiser and asking for your support by way of coming out to an awesome Sunday event.
This Sunday Jan 18th 12:00 - 4:00 P.M. we will be putting this event on at the Bulls Head Bistro on Eagle and Fairview. Southwest corner between Red Robin and Wendy's. It is an ALL AGES Event and everyone is welcome.
Live music performances by Boise's own:
Neighbor Dave
Lori B! and the Blue Diamonds
& The QUARTERTONS

This old Hot Springs building is between Jackpot and Wells. Been meaning to take a look for years. Was hoping for a sunrise that didn't come. Found some interesting angles anyway. Hope you enjoy.

December 31st, 2008
Tried to buy this post card. Any ideas where it was taken? I’m stumped. Maybe 8th street, looks like the old Hotel Boise sign way in the back.

My New Years resolution? Noooo resolutions!
After a successful Christmas gallery showing. The artists of Art for Art have decided to make a go of it full time.
For something like A4A success comes in many ways. Not only did we all cover the costs of being open and make a little money on the side, we found a camaraderie and energy not often discovered.
From nurturing 1st time exhibitors to the synergy that come comes form different creative types discussing the challenges and triumphs of being an artist. In a world that is more and more gobal and corporate, this success stands out. Oh, and did I mention the recession.
We also able to help the next generation of local artists by contributing over $500 to Arte Faire.
So here is the bottom line. Beginning Friday January 16th Art for Art will be open full time.
In Vista Village-1002 Vista.
Unique , hand crafted and local are the what works. We will expand a little to include a wider varity of high quality local art and gifts. Including some speciality food and a few more gift items.
Watch this space for more info.
Thanks to Melissa and everyone else who have put so much energy and time into this. A special thanks to the landlady for helping us along.
Here is a play on the ol' Photo Food Review from Web Mistress Nancy McIntosh
Nancy writes:
here's a pic of our Christmas Dinner - shrimp salad, turkey, stuffing, taters and giblet gravy, and jellied cranberry. I'm eatin' a turkey sandwich for breakfast. Cheers, Nancy
